About Math Visualizer
Math Visualizer is a free collection of 79 calculators spanning Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Statistics & Probability. Each one is built to do more than return a number: most plot the result on a live graph, so you can see the parabola, the triangle, the tangent line, or the distribution — not just read an answer.
How it works
Every calculation runs entirely in your browser using math.js for expression parsing, symbolic derivatives, complex numbers, matrices, and statistics, plus a small hand-written canvas graphing engine for the visuals. There is no backend: nothing you type into a calculator is sent to a server. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Accuracy
Every calculator was checked against hand-computed worked examples before publishing. Where a calculator relies on a numerical method rather than an exact formula (root-finding, numeric integration, normal-distribution percentiles), that's noted directly in the calculator's description. If you find something that looks wrong, the exact formula and logic for every calculator is visible in the page's source.
Who this is for
Students checking homework, anyone who needs a quick reference formula, or someone who wants to see how a concept behaves visually before committing to it symbolically. It's not a substitute for learning the underlying method — it's a tool for checking your work and building intuition once you already know what you're solving for.
